Red Ribbon Week

Did you know children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are 42% less likely to use drugs than those who don’t? Help us start that conversation as we celebrate Red Ribbon Week the week of October 28-November 1. This year’s theme is “Send a Message. Stay drug free.” Red Ribbon Week is a week of education and celebration of a drug free life. SMS will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week with lunchroom and classroom activities that bring education and awareness to living a drug free life. We hope your student participates in the following theme days:

  • Tuesday 10/29: Sock out Drugs: Wear crazy socks to school today!

  • Wednesday 10/30: Our future is too bright for drugs: Wear your neon to school!

  • Thursday 10/31: Scare off Drugs! Wear your Halloween Costume to school (no masks or hats! School dress code applies!)

  • Friday 11/1: Spartans are Drug Free! Show your school spirit and wear your black and gold!
