THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

As a reminder, the last day of school is Thursday, May 30. All students will be dismissed at 11:00AM. Sycamore Middle School offices will have limited hours on Friday, May 31 from 8:00AM- Noon.

YEARBOOK SALES – IN SCHOOL ONLY

Yearbooks must now be purchased in the Main Office. The cost is $30; you may pay by cash or check made out to Sycamore Middle School. Yearbooks will be distributed on the last day of school. Quantities are limited.

SYCAMORE MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER HOURS

Sycamore Middle School summer hours begin on Monday, June 3. The office will be open 8:00AM-Noon and 1:00PM-3:00PM Monday-Thursday. The office will be closed on Fridays through the end of July.

SPARTAN FOOD PANTRY

The Spartan Food Pantry located at West Elementary School is open this Wednesday, May 29, from 4:30PM-6:30PM. The Pantry is open to any family that has a student attending a Sycamore School. Just bring a photo ID.

The pantry is a choice-pantry that offers frozen foods (burgers, chicken tenders, other meats), fresh produce, dairy products, canned goods, snacks, treats, and much more. Families can come to the pantry every time it is open and choose what items they would or would not like to take. The next one is June 12.

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION SET

Attention parents of 8th grade students: The 2019-2020 Freshman Orientation date has been scheduled for Thursday, August 8 at 6:30PM. The orientation will run for approximately 2 hours. More details will be forthcoming from Sycamore High School as the start of school approaches.

FRESHMAN SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS

Please be advised that due to low enrollment the following zero hour classes are not being offered for the ‘19-’20 school year: Spanish I, Dance I, Physical Science, and Studio Art. Any student signed up for these classes as a zero hour has had their schedule adjusted with the substituted classes students/parents indicated at the time of registration.

MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL

If you have a 6th or 7th grade girl who is interested in playing volleyball in the fall, tryouts will be August 7, 8, and 9 at Sycamore High School. There is a camp at the high school July 29-August 1; register at www.https://il.8to18.com/SycamoreHS. There will also be free open gyms this summer at the middle school.
