Remote Learning Update

During the week of May 18, no new assignments will be posted for remote learning.  All work completed will be for make-up, the revision of previous assignments, or for assessment retakes.  Additionally, students will have the opportunity to complete various enrichment activities, which will not require the use of an electronic device.

4th Quarter Grades

We wanted to update you on a change we are making to the way 4th quarter grades will be reported on the report card.

In response to the change of instruction to remote learning this quarter and to follow mandates from the Illinois State Board of Education of “no educational harm” to students during the current school closure, all students who earn a passing grade (A, B, C, D) for a class will receive a P (passing) on their report card.

Students who did not meet the requirements for a passing grade (F) will receive an I (incomplete) on their report card.  We will work with any student who receives an I to provide the support they need to successfully complete the requirements to earn a passing grade.

Students will continue to receive letter grades on the work they complete this quarter. Assessing student work provides the opportunity for our teachers to provide responsive feedback to our students and provides us a way to measure their success, while also allowing us to make adjustments if needed. Thank you for your support as we navigate this unprecedented end of the school year together.

Student Medication Pick Up

If you were unable to pick up your student’s medication on Monday, May 4, please email Mr. Cleven to make arrangements for an alternative date.
